Also known as CAFO beef or factory farmed beef, conventionally-raised beef is lower in important nutrients including CLA, vitamin A and omega 3 fats. And because conventional beef is fed a diet of conventional grain, it contains higher levels of inflammatory omega 6 fats, as well as pesticide residues and aflatoxin, along with hormones and antibiotics.

Grass-fed beef is a totally different animal, so to speak. It’s leaner and lower in calories (thanks to a diet of grass, and only grass), free from contaminants and rich in a wide variety of health-promoting nutrients that make all of your beef recipes healthy beef recipes.
